Dileesh Pothan tests negative for COVID-19 after his return from Djibouti

Actor and filmmaker Dileesh Pothan has tested negative for COVID-19 and has returned home safely after completing his

quarantine period

. Dileesh Pothan was in

Djibouti

in Africa filming for SJ Sinu's movie 'Djibouti'. He returned to Kerala on June 6 and had been under quarantine as per the government-issued guidelines. Dileesh Pothan has now taken to his social media handle to share his whereabouts with his fans and updated them saying, “Quarantine completed Covid Test result negative (sic).”

The team was filming in Africa prior to the outbreak. The 73 member crew completed filming and wrapped it on April 18, but wasn’t able to return as the flights were cancelled. The team including director SJ Sinu, actors Amith Chakkalakkal, Dileesh Pothan, Gregory, and many other actors were stranded for a couple of months in Africa and landed back in Kerala on June 6.

Meanwhile, Dileesh Pothan is one of the most talented filmmakers in Mollywood. Dileesh Pothan marked his debut as an independent director in 2016 with the movie ‘

’. The movie earned a huge applause from the critics, and also bagged the National Award for best film in Malayalam.
