Malayalam actor Dileep is set to make a compelling comeback with the crime thriller film 'Thankamani,' directed by Ratheesh Reghunandan, following the lukewarm reception of his previous film, 'Bandra.' A new image from the movie has been revealed, showcasing Dileep in an aged look with white hair and a white beard, adding anticipation for his portrayal of the central character, Abel Joshua Mathan.

In 'Thankamani,' scheduled for release on March 7, Dileep takes on the pivotal role of Abel Joshua Mathan. The film explores an incident that unfolded on October 21, 1986, in the village of Thankamany, sparked by a dispute over a bus service, leading to a police baton charge and gunfire.

Recently, the makers unveiled the first single from the film titled 'Kaathileeran,' offering a glimpse into the magnificent chemistry between Dileep and Neeta Pillai, who play central characters in the movie.

Directed by Ratheesh Reghunandan, known for 'Udal,' 'Thankamani' promises a gripping tale of vengeance and retribution. The film boasts an impressive technical team, with William Francis handling the musical score, and Manoj Pillai and Shyam Sasidharan managing cinematography and editing, respectively. This collaboration aims to enhance the tension and drama within the intriguing storyline.
