Dileep to headline ‘Rorschach’ director’s next

Filmmaker Nissam Basheer, who has delivered the intriguing thriller ‘Rorschach’, featuring Mammootty in the lead role, has announced his next. The ‘Rorschach’ director is collaborating with actor Dileep for his next.

The makers have confirmed the same via a social media note. The upcoming film will have Dileep essaying the lead role. Suraj Venjaramoodu has roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. The yet-to be titled film will be scripted by Sameer Abdul, who wrote ‘Rorschach’.

Some of the biggest banners in M-Town is said to be backing the film. More details regarding the cast and crew will be announced later.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dileep’s next release will be ‘Bandra’ and ‘Voice of Sathyanathan’. ‘Bandra’ is directed by Arun Gopy, who had earlier teamed up with Dileep for ‘Ramaleela’. The upcoming film has Tamannaah Bhatia as the leading lady, and ‘Bandra’ also marks her debut in Mollywood. On the other hand, ‘Voice of Sathyanathan’ is helmed by Raffi. Speaking to Kochi Times earlier, director Raffi said, “Sathyanathan does the business of old furniture. He is a common man, but is also someone who speaks to make others happy. This story shows an incident that happens in his life. Kettyolanu Ente Malakha fame Veena Nandakumar plays the heroine in the film. This film handles a serious subject, just that its treatment would be wrapped in humour. There won’t be any scenes lined up just for the sake of comedy.” Voice of Sathyanathan’ is expected to be an out-and-out entertainer.
