Actor Dileep has called for greater unity within the Malayalam film industry. The 'Bha Bha Ba.' actor urged members to resolve disputes within their associations rather than taking them to the media. Speaking at the Kerala Film Chamber’s Onam celebration, Dileep highlighted that most problems can be solved if everyone sits together at a table and talks.
“Everyone says that the problems in Malayalam cinema can be solved if we all sit around a table and talk. But often this has only remained in words,” he said as reported by Manorama Online. He pointed out that airing differences publicly only creates division and mudslinging, which weakens the collective voice of the industry.
Dileep says voice that goes outside should be united
Dileep reminded his peers that discipline lies in discussing matters within the executive committee rather than in public. “Many times, members themselves only come to know about certain issues when someone from within the organization goes outside and criticizes it publicly,” he noted.
He added that if an association faces an issue with another, the right way forward is through an official letter asking for help, not through public spats.
“The voice that goes outside should be united,” he emphasized.
Cinema as a team effort
The actor also reflected on how cinema itself thrives on collaboration. “Here, the greatest authority lies with the producers who finance films, since they are the ones who decide to make a movie. That decision itself is significant — it creates work and sustains many families,” he said.

Dileep acknowledged the contributions of writers, directors, technicians, actors, distributors, and exhibitors. The actor called filmmaking a true collective effort. “Films are made possible by the actors who bring the script to life on screen, along with distributors and exhibitors. Altogether, cinema is a collective effort,” he concluded.
On the other hand, Dileep has the most awaited 'Bha. Bha. Ba' in the pipeline.
