Dhyan Sreenivasan hints at 'Thira 2' possibility

Mollywood actor Dhyan Sreenivasan, who recently garnered acclaim for his stellar performance in the film 'Varshangalkku Shesham,' has sparked excitement among fans by hinting at the possibility of a sequel to his debut hit,'Thira.'

In an interview with the YouTube channel Cue Studio, Dhyan Sreenivasan discussed plans for 'Thira 2,' revealing that there is a strong likelihood of the sequel coming to fruition. He disclosed, "Thira 2 is a strong possibility. Rakesh Mantodi, who wrote Thira, has a complete idea on what to work on, and we had spoken to a popular director who was excited to be on board."


'Thira,' directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, made its theatrical debut in 2013, marking Dhyan Sreenivasan's entry into acting. The film featured veteran actress Shobana in a powerful role and followed the story of Dr. Rohini, who embarks on a mission to rescue a group of girls abducted by a human trafficking ring. Alongside her, Naveen, portrayed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, joins the quest to find his own sister, who is among the kidnapped girls.

The prospect of 'Thira 2' has generated anticipation among fans, eager to see the continuation of the gripping narrative that captivated audiences in the original film. Additionally, Dhyan Sreenivasan mentioned another project in the works—a thriller centered around cybercrime, potentially featuring actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Although still in the early stages of development, the actor shared his enthusiasm for the concept.
