Dhruva Sarja’s Martin has been making a lot of noise ever since its announcement. The film, directed by
AP Arjun, which has been in the making for over a year, is now finally complete and the team is going out of its way to promote the pan-India film.
In a first-of-its-kind attempt, on February 23rd, the team is planning to host paid premiere teaser shows in Veresh theatre.
The team is said to have booked the noon-show slot and is planning to hold at least 10-15 shows of the teaser, which is said to be a little over 2 minutes. Speaking about the same, director AP Arjun clarified that the purpose of this is to give a theatrical experience to the public and not make money. “The paid premier teaser show will be held in Veresh theatre. We will charge a nominal fee so that the theatres don’t become overcrowded. The money we get from this will be donated to cow shelters (Gaushalas). Also, on the same day, in the evening at 5.55pm, we will release the trailer on YouTube and people can watch it on their phones,” Arjun said.
The large-canvas film, which is releasing in 5 languages, has also been shot across India. “We shot in a grand set in Hyderabad for 45 days, then a chase sequence in Vizag for 30 days. In Kashmir, we shot action scenes for 35 days in several locations where the temperature was below -2 degrees. We have included ice-war and skating action sequences here. And then again we shot another chase sequence in Mumbai. The climax has been shot of 52 days in a special camera,” he added.
Dhruva also said that he has very less dialogues in the film and several high-octane action sequences.
Vaibhavi Shadilya has been roped in to play Dhruva’s pair in the film.
