According to the Twitter Forum Forum Reelz, 'Devadoothan' wrapped up its second weekend with over Rs 1 crore, bringing its 10-day total to over Rs 3.2 crores. This achievement has allowed it to surpass the box office collections of the re-release version of the classic film ‘Spadikam,’ making it the most successful second-phase release ever at the Kerala box office.

The film's successful re-release began with a strong opening, collecting Rs 50 lakh on its first day. The total earnings include Rs 30 lakh from the Kerala box office and an additional Rs 20 lakh from other parts of India and overseas markets. Originally released in 2000, ‘Devadoothan’ was a commercial failure but gained a cult following through its television premiere, which significantly contributed to the excitement surrounding its re-release.

Directed by Sibi Malayil, 'Devadoothan' features a script by Raghunath Paleri, with Santosh Thundiyil handling cinematography and Bhoominathan as the editor. The film's music was composed by Vidasagar, and lyrics penned by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri.
