With a bit of suspense and loads of fun, the trailer for the upcoming film ‘Charles Enterprises’ looks promising, fueling the expectations of the legendary actress Urvashi starrer among the audiences. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on May 19 this year.
While 'Charles Enterprises' is promoted as a comedy entertainer, the intriguing aspect lies in its unique visual and auditory elements that resemble those of a dark thriller.
The trailer sets the tone with a wide shot showcasing an eerie, abandoned red car, accompanied by a gripping voiceover transmitted through a walkie-talkie. The voiceover reveals that a pickpocketing incident was reported two days ago on the 'Kundhimol' bus near the south bridge, resulting in the arrest of a suspect. This unexpected blend of suspenseful imagery and mysterious narrative elements creates a captivating introduction to the film.
The movie also promises to bring out the performer in actor Balu Varghese, who gave mostly mediocre performances in the films released recently. The actor will be seen playing the role of a suspicious man who claims to have a rare eye disease. Although presented in a humorous tone, Urvashi’s character also seems to have some underlying darkness.
Written and directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian, ‘Charles Enterprises’ also features the actors Shebin Benson, Guru Somasundaram, Geethi Sangeetha, Kalaiyarasan, and Harish Pengan in significant roles.
