Mollywood actor Bheeman Raghu is all set to don the director’s cap for the upcoming movie ‘Chaana’ and the makers recently unveiled an intriguing trailer for the film that promises to offer an emotionally packed family drama with the magnificent performance of Bheeman Raghu’ who plays a family man in the film.

‘Chaana’ trailer shows glimpses of Bheeman Raghu’s never-seen-before performance in a very emotionally charged family man character. The story revolves around the life of a Tamil man hailing from Tenkasi who comes to Kerala to make a living with his ‘Chaana’ (knife sharpening tool). ‘Chaana’ is shot in places such as Tenkasi, Kanyakumari, Kayamkulam, and Alappuzha.
Previously in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Bheeman Raghu revealed that he got the inspiration to kickstart the project when he met with a cutler while traveling through Kayamkulam. Bheeman Raghu also exclusively said that he met a group of other people working in the same profession to develop more on the storyline of ‘Chaana’.

Bheeman Raghu plays the character Kanakan in the film who is a knife sharpener and in the exclusive interview, the actor also said that he practiced sharpening knives for months to become the character Kanakan in his maiden directorial. ‘Chaana’ has indeed raised the expectation bar among the audience as the actor who has played several memorable comedy and villain roles is turning into a director for the first time.
Meanwhile, Bheeman Raghu’s previous outing was with the film ‘Pidikittapulli’ where he played a police officer character. The actor also has the film ‘Savaari Giri Giri’ directed by Gokul Koottappana in the pipeline.
