‘CBI 5’ to ‘Innale Vare’: Upcoming Malayalam movies releasing on OTT

From the pulse-pounding suspense thriller ‘CBI 5’ to the light-hearted comedy entertainer ‘Pathrosinte Padappukal’, the Malayali audience witnessed a number of quality films of disparate genres over the last few months. Now that most of these films are starting their journey to home screens, let's take a look at most of the upcoming movies that are releasing on OTT.

Mammootty’s second hit for this year after the gangster drama ‘Bheeshma Parvam’, was none other than K Madhu’s directorial film ‘CBI 5’ which was the fifth and final installment of the famous CBI franchise. According to the sources, the Mammootty starrer is all set to stream via a popular OTT platform from June 12 onwards.

Director Jis Joy is taking a different route from feel-good movies this time with the upcoming thriller ‘Innale Vare’ starring Asif Ali, Nimisha Sajayan, and Antony Varghese in pivotal roles of an actor, an Infopark employee, and a technician respectively. The film will start streaming on a popular platform from June 9 onwards.

‘Twenty-One Grams’, the surprise hit of the year 2022 had the actors Anoop Menon, Leona Lishoy, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Ranjith, and Renji Panicker in significant roles. Categorized as a suspense thriller, ‘Twenty One Grams’ was directed by the debutant Bibin Krishna and the film is all set to hit the home screens on June 10.

The light-hearted comedy entertainer ‘Pathrosinte Padappukal’ received fairly good responses from the audience and the film was directed by Afsal Abdul Latheef. According to the sources, ‘Pathrosinte Padappukal’ is gearing up for an OTT release which is scheduled for June 10 this year.
