Buzz: Priyadarshan’s ‘Corona Papers’ to have a digital release in May

Priyadarshan’s film ‘Corona Papers’ starring Shane Nigam in the lead role has hit the big screens on Thursday (Apr 6). An investigative thriller, ‘Corona Papers’ is receiving decent footfall in the cinemas, and the audience are impressed by Priyadarshan’s attempt at trying his hands at a new genre.

The digital streams rights of ‘Corona Papers’ has been reportedly bagged by a leading OTT platform. As per the reports, the film will start streaming on OTT from May. The official announcement regarding the same will come later, since the film has only been released last day.

Priydarshan’s directorial also had a decent opening at the box office. The film reportedly minted around Rs. 7.5 lakh on the first day of its release. Though ‘Corona Papers’ is inspired by he 2017 Tamil film ‘8 Thottakal’ directed by Sri Ganesh, the audience received a fresh experience from the film.

Shine Tom Chacko, Sidhique, Gayathrie Shankar, and Jean Paul Lal will be seen in some pivotal roles. Actors Sandhya Shetty, Maniyanpilla Raju, Vijilesh, PP Kunhikrishnan, Hannah Reji Koshy are seen in some supporting roles in the film.
