‘Bougainvillea’ box office collections day 4: Amal Neerad’s mystery thriller collects Rs 20 crores worldwide

Amal Neerad’s recently released mystery thriller film ‘Bougainvillea’ is doing good business at the box office despite mediocre reviews from the audiences.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Bougainvillea’ has collected Rs 20 crores worldwide in 4 days and the India Net collections for the mystery thriller in the same period amount to Rs 11.56 crores.

‘Bougainvillea’ has made an Indian Gross of Rs 9.8 crores and the Overseas performance of the movie is also impressive with Rs 10.2 crores in the kitty.

Coming to the Kerala box office, even though the movie saw a dip on days 2 and 3, the early estimates show an impressive Rs 3.16 crore collection on day 4 which is even higher than the movie’s opening day collections.

Overall, ‘Bougainvillea’ may not have impressed the majority, but the box office performance of this Jyothirmayi starter is quite impressive. If the collections are maintained in the coming days, then the movie has all the potential to be a box office hit.

Starring Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Jyothirmayi, Srinda, Sharafudheen, and many others in the lead, ‘Bougainvillea’ hit the big screens on October 17. Sushin Shyam did the music composition for the film.

ETimes rated ‘Bougainvillea’ a solid 3.5 out of 5 and our review read, “Bougainvillea, if you watch it without reading Ruthinte Lokam by Lajo Jose, from which it was inspired, can fool you in the first half if you aren't careful. The situation is almost reminiscent of the dialogues Georgekutty taught his children and later almost convinced everyone around about going for 'dhyanam' on a specific date in Jeetu Joseph's Drishyam.”
