‘Bougainvillea’ box office collections day 10: Kunchacko Boban scores first hit of the year, crosses Rs 33 crore

After several underwhelming films, Mollywood’s talented actor Kunchacko Boban scored his first hit this year with Amal Neerad’s recently released thriller, ‘Bougainvillea’. Reportedly the film has minted more than Rs 33 crores worldwide.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Bougainvillea’ has minted Rs 33.25 crores worldwide and the India net collections stand at Rs 15.1 crore.

‘Bougainvillea’ also had a magnificent box office performance abroad. In 10 days, the overseas collections for the film stood at Rs 15.65 crores, while the India Gross collections for the same period stood at Rs 17.6 crores.

The Malayalam Net box office collection for ‘Bougainvillea’ is Rs 15.1 crores and on day 10, thus, the thriller minted Rs 70 lakhs which is higher than the day-wise collections for days 9 and 8 which stood at Rs 40 lakhs each.

‘Bougainvillea’ opened at the KBO with a magnificent Rs 3.3 crores. As of now, the movie has made it’s highest at the KBO on day 4 with Rs 3.05 crores in the kitty.

Directed by Amal Neerad, ‘Bougainvillea’ stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Jyothirmayi in the lead. The movie is getting mixed reviews from the audience.

On the other hand, Amal Neerad’s previous outing was with the Mammootty starrer ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ which turned out to be a superhit.

Meanwhile, the audiences are eagerly waiting for any further updates about the Mammootty starrer tentatively titled action flick ‘Bilal’ which is the second part of the gangster drama movie ‘Big B’. The expectations are high for the film 'Bilal'.
