Biju Menon plays a mason in his Prajith film
Actor Biju Menon will be playing a character he hasn’t tried so far in his next film with Oru Vadakkan Selfie director G Prajith.
The movie is scripted by National Award-winning scriptwriter Sajeev Pazhoor, whose previous movie was Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. Sajeev tells us that Biju will be seen as a mason, who is also an out-and-out family man.
“We often think about masons and labourers as those striving to make ends meet, who work hard and lead a tough life.

But, in the little time they have outside work, they enjoy it fully with their friends. Biju’s character is such a person,” says the scriptwriter, adding that there would be a lot of humour in the story and it would be a family entertainer.
Just like in his previous film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, in which actual policemen were cast as cops, this project will also have some real-life masons as part of the cast. Sajeev says, “Our cast would be a mix of professional masonry workers, theatre artistes and others.” Shehnad Jalal is the cinematographer and Shaan Rahman is the composer of the yet-to-be-titled film, which will go on floors in September.
Sajeev reveals that the team has shortlisted a few locations such as Kannur and Ranni. Apart from Biju Menon, Alencier also plays a major role in the film.
