Mollywood director and screenwriter Sachy passed away on Thursday in a hospital in Thrissur, where he was admitted following a heart attack. The director was in a critical condition and was under ventilator support for the past couple of days. He was 48. Sachy's untimely death has shattered his friends and colleagues from the industry and his fans are yet struggling to believe the loss. Actor Biju Menon, who has worked with Sachy several times, has penned a heartfelt note on the talented filmmaker’s demise.
“In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. You left without warning, gone so fast. My deepest sympathies. God bless his family and friends... (sic),” Biju Menon wrote on his social media handle.

Sachy who had a career in law, left it behind to pursue his passion for films. Sachy began as a scriptwriter, and co-writer with Sethu. The past couple of movies of Sachy were huge hits, especially his last outing ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ which also marks his second directorial. The movie was a blockbuster at the box office and the Bollywood remake rights were bagged by John Abraham. The Tamil and Telugu rights of the movie were also sold to prominent production houses.
