Biju Menon has always been known for forging an excellent on-screen chemistry with his co-stars. After bromancing Kunchacko Boban and Aju Varghese in Ordinary and Vellimoonga respectively, the actor is all set to join hands with
Sunny Wayne for newbie director
Vinu Joseph’s movie, titled
Rosapoo
.
On the film, Sunny says, “I am all excited to sign a film alongside Biju Menon. The film has a beautiful script which felt very realistic to me.” Meanwhile, the director tells us that the movie, set against an urban backdrop, is narrated in a humorous way. “Rosapoo is a realistic movie told in a light way, and it’s predominantly a comedy. Biju Menon and Sunny’s characters have their own struggles which might look funny to others but they are not in reality,” says Vinu, adding that actor Soubin Shahir will be playing a pivotal role in the film. “So far Soubin has had less screen time in his films, but in Rosapoo, he will have a full length role and a very important one,” he says.
Divulging more about the film, Vinu says, “The film will have 142 characters who belong to different parts of Kerala. Hence, their slang and their appearance too will reflect Kerala’s geography and culture. Alencier, Sudheer Karamana and Dileesh Pothan are also acting in the film and their roles will be unique, which we haven’t seen so far.”
Scripted by Vinu himself, the dialogues of the film is written by
Santhosh Echikkanam
. The movie will go on floors in August, in Kochi and Chennai.
