Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas team up for ‘Marana Mass’: Filming begins with a pooja ceremony

‘Marana Mass’ starring actor-director Basil Joseph has officially started rolling. The commencement was marked by a traditional pooja ceremony attended by the lead actor, Basil Joseph, producer and actor Tovino Thomas, and other members of the cast and crew.

Helmed by director Sivaprasad, ‘Marana Mass’ boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Rajesh Madhavan, Siju Sunny, and Suresh Krishna in pivotal roles. Tovino Thomas, who is producing the film, took to social media on April 9 to announce the title of this exciting new project. The film's intriguing tagline, ‘Not a mass padam’, hints at a unique take on the genre, setting high expectations among fans and cinephiles.

Siju Sunny, apart from playing a crucial role in the film, has also penned the story and co-written the dialogues with the director, Sivaprasad. This collaboration promises a well-crafted narrative that will engage the audience. Adding to the film's creative team, Neeraj Revi ('Olam', 'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil') has been brought on board as the cinematographer, while Jay Unnithan is in charge of the music department.

Meanwhile, Basil Joseph has the most-awaited film ‘Nunakuzhy’ in the pipeline. The movie is directed by Jeethu Joseph, and the first look poster was unveiled by Mohanlal recently.
