The shoot for the film was kickstarted last year, but due to the Covid outbreak the shoot was temporarily stopped and as a result, several of the actors backed out from the project due to date clashes and other reasons. Several portions of the film which was shot earlier also needed to be re-shot as said by Mohanlal in an interview with online media.
