‘Barroz’ box office collections day 5: Mohanlal’s fantasy film mints more than Rs 8 crores

Mohanlal’s most-awaited directorial debut film ‘Barroz’ is unfortunately getting less traction from the audiences and this is clearly visible in its box office collections.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Barroz’ has collected Rs 8.38 crores from India in 5 days. On the 5th day, the fantasy entertainer collected Rs 1.15 crores as per the early estimate by the website.



Coming to the occupancy rates, Mohanlal’s directorial debut film had an overall 22.50 percent Malayalam occupancy on day 5, Sunday with morning shows at 11.23 percent, afternoon shows at 28.66 percent, evening shows at 29.35 percent and night shows at 20.74 percent.


‘Barroz’ opened a box office collection of Rs 3.45 crores with Rs 3.35 crores in shares from Malayalam, Rs 5 lakhs from Tamil, and Rs 5 lakhs from Telugu. In the following days, the movie had minted approximately more than Rs 1 crore, showing a steady momentum. The movie made a huge dip from day 2 onwards, highlighting that most of the audience was not completely satisfied with the film.

The flashback scenes have their ups and downs, but they more or less seem more enticing than the modern-day timeline. The music again was just fine, and the score by Mark Killian matched the rhythm of the film. The costumes worked in places but seemed off in certain parts, especially in the song sequence where Barroz recalls days with young Isabella.
