Balachandra Menon opts out of 'Emmanuel'

Those expecting the comeback of veteran actor and filmmaker Balachandra Menon will have to wait a little longer. The National Award-winning actor was recently reported to have joined the cast of Mammootty���s Emmanuel, which would mark his comeback to films after a four-year hiatus. However, the actor tells us that he wouldn���t be joining the Lal Jose flick because of his daughter���s wedding that will take place on December 23. ���Mammootty had asked me to be a part of the film and honestly, I was excited about the role and working with him and Lal. However, my daughter���s wedding is next month and I wouldn���t be able to accommodate the film,��� he says, adding that the megastar had informed him that they would collaborate for another project soon.Emmanuel, which is set to go on floors in December, would be Mammootty���s second production venture after Jawan of Vellimala and the third time the actor and director would be reuniting for a full-length feature. Their previous films include Lal���s debut directorial venture Oru Maravathoor Kanavu and Pattalam.
