Askar Ali to play an aspiring director in a comedy thriller
Askar Ali made his Mollywood debut as an aspiring actor in Honey Bee 2.5 and now in his fourth movie, Jeem Bhoom Bhaa, he will be playing an aspiring director. The movie, a comedy thriller, will be entirely shot in Thiruvananthapuram and revolves around the incidents happening on a New Year’s Eve.On the film, its director Rahul Ramachandran tells us, “It’s a tale of three friends, on the lines of In Harihar Nagar. The entire film happens between December 31 evening and January 1 early morning.”
Askar, Aneesh Gopal and Limu Shankar play the three friends while Anju Kurian is the lead actress. “Askar plays Basil Kanjikuzhi, who has been struggling for the past five years to be a director. Baijuettan also essays an important character named Clay Ravi,” says the debutant director. Neha Saxena and Kannan Nayar also play supporting roles in the movie, which will go on floors on August 9.
