The director of Escape from Uganda, Rajesh Nair, is all set to make two films, which are as different as chalk and cheese. While his immediate next is a light-hearted comedy with Biju Menon in the lead, he will start shooting a full on action film with Asif Ali and Vijay Babu in September. The director discloses, “My next movie with Biju Menon will be a simple family story about a father, mother and their child. It will have nostalgia as one of the main ingredients. I want to bring back the times when we had tales featuring grandparents and family relationships as major characters.” The rest of its cast are yet to be confirmed, and the project has Trivandrum and Palakkad as the main locations.
The director plans to start his third project in September, which will have Thrissur Pooram as the focus. Asif Ali and Vijay Babu will play the lead. Interestingly, composer Ratheesh Vega will turn scriptwriter for this film. “Asif will appear in a completely different get up, which we have never seen before, for this film. It will be shot entirely in Thrissur and the movie will also have about 40 fresh faces. Its action choreographer will be a foreigner,” says Rajesh. Ratheesh will also score music for the movie.
