Asif Ali's much-anticipated thriller ‘KishKindha Kaandam’ has been granted a clean U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, who previously collaborated with Asif Ali on the successful courtroom drama ‘Kakshi: Amminippilla’, the film is set to hit theaters on September 12.
‘KishKindha Kaandam’, described as "a tale of three wise monkeys," is set against the backdrop of a forest reserve area named Kallepathi. The film stars Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles, portraying a married couple. Vijayaraghavan plays Asif Ali’s father, a character burdened by a hidden past. The story delves into the complexities of their lives amidst the lush greenery and diverse fauna of the forest.
The film's teaser which was unveiled earlier by the makers, has captivated audiences with its portrayal of verdant landscapes and intriguing plot elements. It hints at the imposition of Section 144 due to public threats and Naxal movements from the 1970s, adding layers of suspense to the narrative.
The cast of KishKindha Kaandam also includes Jagadish, Ashokan, Nishan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Shebin Benson, Major Ravi, and Kottayam Ramesh. The music for the film is composed by Sushin Shyam, and the screenplay is penned by Bahul Ramesh.
On the other hand, Asif Ali’s previous outing was with the comedy drama movie ‘Adios Amigo’ which also had Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead. The movie unfortunately flopped at the box office with mediocre reviews from the audiences who had high hopes for the film.
