Asif Ali to start shooting for Elaam Sheriyaakum from December 18

Anuraga Karikkin Vellam co-stars Asif Ali and Rajisha Vijayan will start shooting for their next titled Elaam Sheriyaakum, which is directed by Vellimoonga filmmaker Jibu Jacob, from December 18.
The movie, which has Erattupetta as the main location, is touted to be an entertainer which has Asif playing a politician again this year after Sibi Malayil’s Kothu. The movie reportedly revolves around a young Leftist politician and his struggles of living in a constituency where he doesn’t wield much power.
Apart from Asif Ali and Rajisha, the movie also has Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Sudheer Karamana, Johny Antony and Sethulakshmi in important roles.Sharis Muhammed had written the screenplay of the movie, which was supposed to go on floors early this year.
While the plot revolves around a politician, Elaam Sheriyaakum also has emotions, humour and other aspects to keep the family audience engaged – much like Jibu Jacob’s debut directorial and Biju Menon-starrer Vellimoonga, which also had Asif Ali in a cameo role.
Meanwhile, Asif has completed the shoot of Kothu a few months ago and had also travelled to Rajasthan to finish the portions of Rajeev Ravi’s Kuttavum Shikshayum, which has him playingthe role of a cop. The latter also has Sunny Wayne and Sharaf U Dheen playing major characters and the crime-drama is based on a real-life incident.
Rajisha, who has completed the shoot of Dhanush’s Karnan, has also finished shooting for Rahul Riji Nair’s sports drama titled Kho Kho, which has her as a coach and athlete.
