Asif Ali recommended a few weeks of rest after sustaining a knee injury on the sets of 'Tiki Taka'

Malayalam actor Asif Ali encountered an unfortunate accident while filming a sequence for the movie 'Tiki Taka' directed by Rohit in Kochi. The incident occurred on Thursday (November 23) during the shooting of a fight sequence, resulting in a knee injury for the actor.

Prompt medical attention was sought, and Asif Ali was swiftly admitted to a private hospital in Kochi for treatment. Fortunately, reports indicate that the injuries are not severe, yet doctors have recommended a few weeks of rest before the actor can resume shooting.


'Tiki Taka' marks Asif Ali's reunion with director Rohit VS after their successful collaborations on 'Adventures of Omanakuttan' and 'Iblis'. Notably, this film involves 12 action-packed sequences and features actress Wamiqa Gabbi as the lead, known for her role in the well-received movie 'Godha' (2017) in Kerala.

Recently, Asif Ali garnered attention on social media for a picture showcasing his physically transformed appearance, tailored for his character in 'Tiki Taka'. The actor has undergone a rigorous workout regime.

'Tiki Taka' is touted as a distinctive take on a Sherlock Holmes-esque narrative.

On the technical front, the film boasts Sony Seban as the cinematographer and Chaman Chakko as the editor, with Dawn Vincent handling the musical composition.

Apart from Asif Ali and Wamiqa Gabbi, the movie features an ensemble cast including Harishree Ashokan, Lukman, Sanjana Nataraj, and Santhosh Pratap, among others.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali's recent appearance was in 'Otta', directed by Resul Pookutty, the Academy Award winner. Released on October 27, 'Otta' marked Resul Pookutty's directorial debut, receiving mixed reviews from the audience.
