Asif Ali: ‘I cried many times reading the script of ‘2018’

During a media conversation, actor Asif Ali revealed that director Jude Anthany Joseph had a confidential blueprint for the film '2018' which he kept exclusively to himself, refraining from sharing it with anyone else. Asif Ali further disclosed that Jude had contemplated abandoning the project altogether if Asif Ali did not agree to be a part of it. This revelation deeply affected Asif Ali on an emotional level, prompting him to hear the script and ultimately take up the film.

Mollywood director Jude Anthany Joseph has given the perfect antidote to the falling Malayalam industry with the survival drama movie ‘2018’ and the movie is making wonders at the Kerala box office as each day passes by.

Actor Asif Ali, during a conversation with the media, said that Jude had a blueprint for ‘2018’ which he kept with him and didn't show anyone. He further said that Jude was even planning to drop the movie if Asif Ali never agreed to do the project which made him ‘emotionally broken’ and decided to hear the script.

Asif Ali reportedly said to the media that when Jude narrated the script he was impressed and he cried many times reading the story. That’s when Asif decided to never drop the movie for any other reasons. Asif Ali also said that with the kind of confidence, Jude had while narrating the script, he thought that he could trust him, and still, he didn't know what technique he used to pull off such a big movie.
Meanwhile, ‘2018’ is taking the lead at the Kerala box office in terms of the collection figures, and with the increase in the number of positive reviews for the movie, it can be expected that ‘2018’ will be raking in more numbers at KBO and worldwide.
