Actor Asif Ali, during a conversation with the media, said that Jude had a blueprint for ‘2018’ which he kept with him and didn't show anyone. He further said that Jude was even planning to drop the movie if Asif Ali never agreed to do the project which made him ‘emotionally broken’ and decided to hear the script.

Asif Ali reportedly said to the media that when Jude narrated the script he was impressed and he cried many times reading the story. That’s when Asif decided to never drop the movie for any other reasons. Asif Ali also said that with the kind of confidence, Jude had while narrating the script, he thought that he could trust him, and still, he didn't know what technique he used to pull off such a big movie.

Meanwhile, ‘2018’ is taking the lead at the Kerala box office in terms of the collection figures, and with the increase in the number of positive reviews for the movie, it can be expected that ‘2018’ will be raking in more numbers at KBO and worldwide.
