, the film that courted controversy for a scene involving the protagonist played by Mammootty, observes that a scriptwriter should have an unbiased and neutral perspective.

“I do not think as a scriptwriter, I should consider all this hue and cry while writing a script. Our society is facing a lot of socio-political-economical and religious changes. There is intolerance everywhere. A scriptwriter shouldn’t be influenced by any of these. I can’t be either feminist or anti-feminist. Also I cannot be atheist or a religious fanatic. So, if I start writing a script keeping these ‘new’ rules in mind, my films will turn out to be a soulless one,” he says.

Nithin adds: “All one can keep in mind while creating a character is to do justice to it. While writing a script, nobody will add something intentionally. Even I have not done anything deliberately in my movie. It was misinterpreted without understanding the context.
