Arjun Ashokan, Sangeeth Prathapan injured during an action shoot for ‘Bromance’; speeding car rams into food delivery boy’s bike

Actors Arjun Ashokan and Sangeeth Prathapan were injured in an accident that occurred in the wee hours of Saturday (July 27), 1: 45 am, at MG Road, Kochi, while they were filming a car chase scene for their upcoming film ‘Bromance’. Their speeding car rammed into the bike of a delivery boy of a food aggregator standing by the side. The food delivery boy also sustained injuries on his leg during the accident.

According to a report by Manorama News, the injured were taken to a private hospital in the city and were reportedly discharged, as they had minor injuries. The Central police night patrol team rushed to the scene, following the incident. The report indicates that although the filmmakers had obtained permission from the authorities to shoot, they neglected to implement the necessary safety measures beforehand.

Meanwhile, ‘Bromance’ is directed by Arun D Jose, known for his previous films ‘Jo and Jo’ and ‘18+’. The film went on floors a few days ago, July 15. The film features Arjun Ashokan, Mathew Thomas, and Mahima Nambiar in the lead roles. The film also features actors Kalabhavan Shajon, Binu Pappu, Shyam Mohan in some pivotal roles. The film is expected to be a comedy entertainer. The tagline of the film, “Sometimes, the biggest adventure is in our own family.”


On the other hand, Arjun Ashokan’s recent outings were ‘Bramayugam’ and ‘Once Upon A Time In Kochi’. Arjun’s performance in the Mammootty starrer ‘Bramayugam’ received a lot of applause. The horror fantasy film was helmed by Rahul Sadasivan, who had earlier delivered ‘Bhoothakalam’, starring Shane Nigam and Revathy Asha.
