Arjun tells us, “I remember I had just finished shooting for Mandharam in North India and reached Kerala. Usually, Amalettan calls me up to pick his car as I run a car wash business too. So, one day he calls me up and asks me to come to his house soon. I got nervous and called Soubikka to know something was wrong, and he asked me, “Did he tell you?” I asked him what and he said Amalettan would tell me and I should go. So, I did and he narrated Varathan’s story to me. He told me it’s the role of a villain and that I should do it only if I am interested and he would not force me to take it up. I told him that even before I did Parava, I sent my portfolio first to Samir Thahir and Amal Neerad because it has been a dream to work in their movies. I told him, “I am not going to think twice about taking this role. Moreover, I just want to be a good actor and playing a villain would be awesome.”

The actor is currently shooting for Mammootty-starrer

Unda

in Kannur.
