Aparna Gopinath performs contemporary dance
Though actress Aparna Gopinath is a contemporary dancer as well, Mollywood filmmakers haven’t tapped her dancing skills much. However, in her upcoming film, Ente Sathyaneshwana Pareekshakal, the audience will get a taste of the dancer in her, for the first time.
“Aparna dons the character of a socially committed lawyer, Vidhya Jose, in the movie. For a flashback scene, she performs a two minute contemporary dance sequence.

The whole team was amazed at her fluid movements, which brought out the gaiety of the scene,” says its director Subil Surendran. While Shankar Ramakrishnan portrays a character called Mahesh Perumal, another lawyer, Rahman appears as Joe, a lawyer who is interested in out-of-court settlements.
“The trio run a legal firm and Aparna’s character encounters a strange case. Though it appears quite nonsensical in the beginning, it takes a murkier turn later. The three come together and how they deal with it forms the story,” he says. Subil adds that though Ente Sathyaneswana Pareekshakal is an entertainer; the movie discusses a serious and socially relevant subject. “The situations we have used in the film are quite real. And I am sure, a lot of issues will arise once the film get released.”
Interestingly, Suraj Venjaramoodu appears in the garb of a septuagenarian named Ayya Pillai, a veteran clerk who has been working in the court for nearly four decades. “He was once a shoe polisher, but later went on to become a clerk. He has a good understanding about the Indian legal system and is admired by one and all, including senior advocates and judges."
The film is set against the backdrop of Trivandrum, and has all the true flavors of the capital. “The Vanchiyoor Court and the small and cramped offices around it form the location of the film,” says Subil. The movie scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan is all set to release soon.
