Aparna Das celebrates her birthday with Vijay and the ‘Beast’ team

Aparna Das, the Malayalam actress, has been the talk of the town after she was roped in to play a major role in the film ‘Beast’ starring Tamil actor Vijay in the lead. And recently the actress literally stole the spotlight when the pictures of 100 days of ‘Beast’ shoot released by the director Nelson Dilipkumar started making rounds on social media. Although the stars Vijay and Pooja Hegde were featured in the picture, it was the actress Aparna Das who caught the attention of Malayalis. Aparna Das was seen playing the piano among the crew in the picture. As the actress is all set to make her debut in the Tamil industry, let’s look at all things that you should know about her.

Before setting her foot in the Malayalam film industry, Aparna Das was active in doing Tik Tok videos and she gained many fans through her Tik Tok video performances. And it was after watching her Tik Tok videos, director Akhil Sathyan, Son of Sathyan Anthikad, called her up to act in the film ‘Njan Prakashan’ and she shared screen space with the actor Fahadh Faasil in the film which was directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

Actress Aparna Das was born on 10th September 1995 in Nenmara, Palakkad, Kerala. Her parents were settled in Muscat, Oman and she completed her primary education at Gangothri English Medium school, Nenmara and she continued her higher education in Indian School, Darsait, Oman. She took her MBA degree from Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.

Aparna Das is a strong believer of the ‘Law of Attraction ‘ and in one of her interviews, she said that if she hadn’t believed in Rhonda Byrne’s ‘The Law of Attraction ‘, she would have never made it to the acting career and would have been stuck at a usual nine to five job. She is also a huge fan of writer Paulo Coelho’s works, especially ‘The Alchemist’ and believes in his quote that “When you want something the whole universe will conspire together to help you get it”.

Aparna Das made her debut in acting with the film ‘Njan Prakashan’ by sharing screen space with the actor Fahadh Faasil. The film was directed by Sathyan Anthikad and was a humongous hit. Later she played a female lead opposite to actor Vineeth Sreenivasan in the film ‘Manoharam’ which was directed by Anvar Sadik.

After completing her Post-Graduation degree, Aparna Das worked as an accountant. But her innate passion for being an actor made her opt for modeling and she worked as a model for small companies and magazines even during the time of her MBA exams. She saw modeling as an opportunity to pave her way to a film-acting career.

Aparna Das is an ardent fan of actress Urvashi and considers her as an idol. She adores Urvashi’s natural style of acting especially in films such as ‘Mithunam’, ‘Achuvinte Amma’ etc. She is also a huge fan of actress Kalpana and wanted to meet her in real life. In an interview, Aparna Das opens up about her love for Urvashi’s acting style and she really wished that she could get to do the iconic characters played by Urvashi in the future.
