Aparna Balamurali seems to be making rapid strides in Mollywood following the success of

earlier this year. After bagging a role in Jude Anthany Joseph's Oru Muthassi Gadha, she's now been cast alongside Anoop Menon in the upcoming movie

We had earlier reported that Honey Rose and Miya would be part of the film. Its scriptwriter S Suresh Babu tells us, 'Honey was roped in for the movie initially but she had a few date clashes with her next project, so she opted out. After that we had a few script revisions and thought Aparna would be apt to play the role.'

Suresh had earlier told us that the role would be that of an activist who participated in the Kiss of Love campaign. 'The film is about the relationship between Anoop Menon's character, who is a special branch CI named Jose K Mani, and that of Anupama, played by Aparna.'
The actress confirms that she is part of the movie. 'I signed the film because I felt it was a strong character,' says Aparna.

The film, directed by Venugopan, is set to go on floors by mid-August. Meanwhile, we hear that Miya who was said to play an important role as Anoop's fianc'e in the movie might also opt out as the actress is now busy with her Tamil projects.
