Tovino Thomas's latest venture, 'Anweshippin Kandethum,' has marked an impressive start at the box office, securing over Rs 5 crore within its first five days. The investigative thriller, helmed by director Darwin Kuriakose, showcases Tovino Thomas in the role of a determined cop reopening a cold murder case.
As per reports from the Sacnilk website, 'Anweshippin Kandethum' exhibited strong performance throughout its initial four days, accumulating an estimated Rs 4.95 crore in India net. The momentum continued on the fifth day, with early estimates suggesting an additional Rs 60 lakhs in India net.
The film maintained an overall 22.94% Malayalam occupancy on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, showcasing consistent audience engagement. This solid performance indicates the audience's keen interest in the suspenseful narrative that unfolds in 'Anweshippin Kandethum,' creating an intriguing cat-and-mouse dynamic between law enforcement and potential suspects.
Apart from Tovino Thomas, the movie features a stellar cast including Siddique, Indrans, Shammy Thilakan, and Baburaj, contributing to the film's allure. The storyline promises riveting suspense as it navigates through a world filled with secrets, unravelling the complexities of a cold murder case.
On the other hand, Tovino was last seen in Dr. Biju’s directorial social drama film ‘Adrishya Jalakangal', which unfortunately didn’t make any impact at the box office.
