Anushka Shetty joins the sets of Jayasurya starrer ‘Kathanar- The Wild Sorcerer’

Helmed by the ‘Home’ director Rojin Thomas, the expectations are high for the Jayasurya starrer fantasy drama film ‘Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer’ and the recent updates say that actress Anushka Shetty has joined the sets of the most awaited movie.

In a recent social media post by director Rojin Thomas, Anushka Shetty is seen radiantly posing with the crew of 'Kathanar.' Dressed in white co-ords and a denim jacket, Anushka is seen holding a bouquet and in another pic she is seen holding a statue of Lord Krishna.


The director expressed his honor at collaborating with the exceptional actress, stating, "Honoured to collaborate with the exceptional Anushka Shetty on our Kathanar’s cinematic journey! #dreamcast #kathanarthewildsorcerer #sreegokulammovies."

'Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer' stars Jayasurya in the lead role and marks Anushka Shetty's debut in Malayalam cinema. The film unfolds as a fantasy, drawing inspiration from the tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest renowned for his supernatural powers. The initial schedule was completed in June 2023, utilizing virtual production technology, a first-of-its-kind in Indian cinema.

Penned by R Ramanand, the film features Neil D Cunha as the cinematographer and Jungjin Park as the action choreographer. Rahul Subrahmanian Unni is composing the music for the highly anticipated project.

'Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer' is slated for release in multiple Indian and foreign languages, promising an enchanting cinematic experience for audiences worldwide.
