Anupama Parameswaran and Suresh Gopi in a legal drama

After Kurup in 2021, Anupama Parameswaran returns to Malayalam through Pravin Narayan's JSK Janaki v/s State of Kerala. The film, which will be released in Tamil and Telugu too, will see Suresh Gopi appearing as an advocate, David Abel Donovan. His son, Madhav Suresh, will make his debut in this movie in a key role.

Pravin says, "Anupama is playing a strong role and we wanted a face that Malayalis have not seen recently. She was the best choice." The movie is about how a lawyer gets involved in a case unexpectedly and what follows. Sruthi Ramachandran also plays an important role in the film. About Suresh Gopi, Pravin says, "When I wrote the role, Sureshettan was the face in my mind. The old fire in him will be seen here. You will understand how apt a choice he was when you see the movie."

Two schedules of the film are now complete, mostly shot in Thrissur, Kambam and Theni region. The next schedules will be in Bengaluru and Chennai. Pravin also hints that another big South Indian star will be roped in for the movie but more cannot be revealed.

"A few location stills got exposed and we have removed all of that from the movie now. It was mostly centred around Suresh Gopi's role. The project is big. We have a massive climax fight scene which was shot with over a budget of Rs 1 crore. We shot a portion of it in Kambam-Theni. The rest will be shot in Chennai. It happens amidst a festival," said Pravin.
