Anu Hasan returns to Mollywood

Even after two decades, Kamal Haasan’s niece Anu Hasan is remembered by Malayalis for the incredible performance she showcased in the Tamil film Indira.
The actress will now be seen in a full-length role in Sujith S Nair’s upcoming movie Vaakku. She will play mother to debutant Pranav, son of yesteryear actor Ratheesh.
Director Madhupal, who has written the film’s script, says, “Vaakku tells a story of the dreams, hopes and problems of lower-middle-class families in Kerala; how the parents aspire to provide the best for their kids so that the children can at least lead a better life than them.While doing that, most of them fail to realise that they cannot control their kid’s fate when they venture into the outside world.”
Anu Hasan, whose last Malayalam film was Kunthapura, will play the role of a lower-middle-class mother while director MA Nishad plays her husband.
