Antony Varghese’s next is the comedy drama, Falimy

After signing a sports film and a campus romance, Antony Varghese has now slotted his dates for a comedy drama next year.

Titled Falimy, the film has him playing the role of a youngster who works in a toiletry showroom and lives in his family with four other members.
The movie, written and directed by Nithish Sahadev, will go on floors on January 15. The director says, “Falimy is the story of a family with a ‘spelling mistake’. It has a husband, wife, their two young sons and a grandfather. Their dreams are different, they never even sit together and when they do, conflicts erupt.”

Antony plays the elder son named Arjun and actor Sandeep Pradeep, who was part of films like Pathinettam Padi, is cast as his younger brother. Nithish says, “Their dad is unemployed and spends his time playing sports and in youth clubs. The mom is a government employee; the younger son whiles away his time quoting his 20 supplementary exams and tuitions, and grandfather passes days watching English films. The father and the eldest son don’t talk to each other. On the whole, it’s a completely dysfunctional family and the movie shows what happens when they go somewhere together, and the eventual realisations that happen.”
The movie will be shot for 18 days in Aluva, followed by Mysore and Varanasi.
