‘Antony’ box office collections day 19: Joju George - Joshiy’s film rakes in Rs 8.54 crores

Despite receiving mixed critical reviews, the action-packed drama 'Antony,' directed by Joshiy and featuring Joju George in the lead, continues its strong performance at the box office. Since its release on December 1, the film has minted a commendable total of Rs 8.54 crores within 19 days, signaling a promising run despite new releases on the horizon.

While the movie has garnered a moderate reception from critics, its commercial success remains evident as it sustains its momentum in ticket sales. However, a gradual decline in collections is expected in the upcoming days as highly anticipated films like 'Neru,' 'Dunki,' and 'Salaar' gear up to dominate screens across Kerala.


'Antony,' helmed by director Joshiy and scripted by Rajesh Varma, unfolds the story of a ruthless gangster navigating through conflicts with the aid of his close-knit circle, resorting to violent means to resolve dilemmas. The film's cinematic narrative is enriched by the musical compositions of Jakes Bejoy, complemented by Renadive's cinematography and Shyam Sasidharan's deft editing, adding depth to the gritty storyline.

Joju George shines in the titular role, supported by a stellar cast including Kalyani Priyadarshan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Nyla Usha, Asha Sharath, Appani Sarath, and Vijayaraghavan.

On the other hand, Joshiy will be teaming up with Mohanlal after a long gap with the upcoming action entertainer 'Rambaan' which is scripted by Chemban Vinod Jose.
