American celebrity chef and host of the CNN show Parts Unknown, was found dead in his hotel room on Friday.

Known for his informal and intimate way of exploring cuisine by sharing food with the locals, Bourdain had travelled all over the world, especially Asia. He had visited Kerala as well, where he travelled to Kuttanad and Alappuzha, to taste local cuisine, and also met actor Mammootty!

''When bad guys go looking for trouble in these parts, what they don't want to run into is this man',' goes Bourdain's introduction to Mammootty in the video of the episode, which shows visuals from the shoot of Pokkiriraja. The chef goes on to explain the difference between Bollywood and the Malayalam film industry - ''this is not Bollywood''. The video, which has now surfaced online, is now being rewatched by shattered fans, spread all over the world.

Mammootty can be seen inviting the chef to his caravan during the shoot break, where the two discuss food, over lunch! Bourdain shares Mammootty's lunch - fish curry and fish eggs. "Some of the best food I had tasted, and for a guy who is like Elvis in his field, Mammootty showed remarkable patience," Bourdain says, but not without his own set of doubts. "I don't understand this industry, why are they fighting, why are they running around trees, why don't they kiss? But it's fantastic," he says.
