Anoop Menon confirms a sequel to ‘Beautiful’; a different actor to replace Jayasurya

It’s official! VK Prakash’ directorial ‘Beautiful’ released in 2011 will get a sequel soon. The makers have confirmed a sequel to the Anoop Menon, Jayasurya, and Meghana Raj starrer. Anoop Menon, who was also the scenarist for the 2011 release, announced the sequel via his social media handle. He has also revealed that Jayasurya won’t be a part of the upcoming film, and a new actor will be replacing his role.
VK Prakash will be directing the upcoming film, and the film also has a talented crew. Anoop Menon will be playing the lead role, however, the details regarding the rest of the cast is currently unknown. The team has planned to commence shoot by January next year (2024) in Vancouver, Canada.
Announcing the film, Anoop Menon said, “Badusha Productions and Yes Cinema company announces BEAUTIFUL 2. Joining VKP and yours truly would be the same super talented technicians Jomon T John, Mahesh Narayanan, Ajay Mangad, Mridul Nair, Vinay Govind, Sajimon, and Ratheesh Vega who were part of Beautiful 1… However this time Jayasurya wont be part of the cast and he will be replaced by another suitable actor in accordance with the new story and script.. .shooting will commence in Vancouver by January 2024.”

Helmed by VK Prakash, 'Beautiful 2' has the crew from the sequel - Jomon T John handling the cinematography, Mahesh Narayanan as the editor, and Ratheesh Vega to compose the music. Ajay Mangad is handling the art direction. Unni Menon will be part of the film. The makers have also launched a title poster, which had left the movie buffs thrilled.

‘Beautiful’ released in 2011 centered around the beautiful camaraderie between a quadriplegic man and a musician. The film’s plot and heartwarming music clicked well with the audience. Now that the makers have announced a sequel to the musical drama, all eyes are on the project.
