Anna Ben and Arjun Ashokan team up for a romcom

Anna Ben and Arjun Ashokan would probably be the two young actors who have seen a spike in their career in the past one year. Both have signed several projects as protagonists and now they will be seen together in a romcom, which will be helmed by C/O

director Antony Sony.

On the movie, the filmmaker says, “Both of them have equally pivotal roles in the feel-good movie full of light-hearted moments. Unlike C/O Saira Banu, this is not a story-driven film; the focus will be on situations that all sections of the audience could relate to.”

About casting Anna and Arjun as the leads, Antony says, “Both represent today’s youth, but the key reason we have chosen them is that they are both exceptional artistes. You can have faith on them to brilliantly perform whatever character you give them. Arjun also has a few movies lined up in which he plays the solo lead; so, once those releases we are hoping it would also help our film.”

and Libin Varghese, will have a host of newcomers. “We need a lot of actors and that’s why we are looking for debutants or relative newcomers, whom we would be casting after auditions,” says Antony, adding that film’s main location will be in Kochi and they are planning to start shooting by mid May. Meanwhile, Anna is also busy with an action-oriented film, which is directed by Ranjan Pramod.
