Anjali to play Malini in Joju George’s ‘Iratta’

Popular actress Anjali, best known for her performances in ‘Angaadi Theru’ and ‘Engaeyum Eppothum’ has roped in to play a pivotal role in the upcoming Malayalam movie ‘Iratta’. Helmed by debutant Rohit MG Krishnan, ‘Iratta’ is touted to be a thriller.

Anjali has roped in to play the role of Malini in ‘Iratta’ and the makers have launched a character poster. In the poster, Anjali is seen decked up in a saree, and in a village belle avatar.

“ANJALI as MALINI,” the makers captioned, sharing the poster.

Anjali is no stranger to Mollywood. She has previously worked in ‘Payyans’, and ‘Rosapoo’.


‘Iratta’ will feature Joju George in a dual role. The makers launched the first look poster lately, which featured Joju George as identical twins. In the poster, Joju George is seen sitting on a chair, clad in a blue shirt and dhoti, while his second avatar features him in the garb of a policeman.

Meanwhile, Anjali’s film ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ recently completed 10 years of its release. The Telugu film had Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Anjali and Samantha in lead roles. Anjali celebrated the milestone, and shared pictures from the film on social media and said, “10 years of #svsc a film that touched many many hearts and a major milestone in my career. Seetha, the most special role that still lives on in your hearts ❤️.”
