Anjali Patil to debut in M'wood
Bollywood actress Anjali Patil, who recently won the best actress award at the International Film Festival of India at Goa for her performance in the Sri Lankan film Oba Nathuwa Oba Ekka, is excited about her Mollywood debut.
'It was after seeing the trailers of my debut Bollywood flick Delhi in a Day that director Rajesh cast me in Ente. As luck would have it, I didn't even have to audition for the role,' says Anjali.

The actress says she was quite impressed with the script and her character in the film. 'I've a powerpacked, emotional and intense role in Ente, which is quite different from the characters that I've played so far,' she says.
Ente has a socially relevant theme, as the story revolves around human trafficking. However, Rajesh, who made films like In the name of Buddha and 10-The Strangers says, 'It is a commercial film and shows the bond between a father and daughter played by Anjali and actor Siddique.'
Anjali, who played a Naxalite in Prakash Jha's film, says she is happy that she is getting to play a variety of roles on screen.
'My looks in all the films that I have done so far are so different that people hardly recognise me in real life,' says the actress, who is currently gearing up for her Kannada debut. 'I have an exciting role in Apna Desh, the shoot of which will start in a few days. I will be sharing screenspace with Girish Karnad and Ashutosh Rana in the movie,' says Anjali.
Meanwhile, the actress says several international and Bollywood projects are also coming her way. 'Though, I am not in a position to talk about them at the moment,' is all she is willing to say now.
