Anjali Ameer plays a homemaker in her comeback Malayalam film 'Bernard'
It’s been a few years since Anjali Ameer won over film buffs through her performance in the Mammootty-starrer Tamil film Peranbu. The trans woman actress will soon be seen in a major role in a Malayalam film, too.

Anjali’s character, the director says, will be that of a very innocent girl, whose days revolve around her husband. “She has many friends from her school and college days, with whom she maintains the bond through social media groups. Many men in those groups, who are decent individuals, also speak to her often, but Bernard sees them all as her wooers. He feels the same about his own friends, too!” says Devaprasad, adding, “Natasha understands his state of mind and the friction, revenge and other exchanges between them are portrayed a lot through silence rather than dialogues in this film.”
The film also has Jobi, Dileep Kumar, Mathew Joseph and Vasanthan in major roles and Liju Mathew as the cinematographer.
The film’s editing is by Jerin Raj, make up by Ratheesh Ravi, costume design by Bisni Devaprasad, colouring by Shaan Ashif and sound mixing by Karun Prasad.
