Acting was never a dream for fashion designer

until Shajoon Kariyal and Ranjith Lal, directors of Sir C.P asked her if she could do a role in their film. Though hesitant, she took it up. 'It was a good experience but I had no intention to continue acting,' she says.

However, Anitta, who enjoys styling for celebs, was again offered a role in Nithin Renji Panicker's debut movie Kasaba. And this time, she couldn't refuse the offer as it was with her favourite actor Mammootty. 'My character's name is Lakshmi and she is an orphan. I have an important role in

Kasaba

and a few sequences of mine have been already shot in Bangarapet, Karnataka,' she explains. The actress, who had essayed Rohini's childhood in Sir C.P, says that her experience of working in the film helped her shed inhibitions to face the camera. 'Sir C.P gave me a good beginning. In Kasaba, I have a few adventurous and dark scenes, which actually made me a bit nervous. I got used to them gradually,' she adds.
The film's director Nithin Renji Panicker says that Kasaba is a serious action drama that features Mammootty as a cop. 'Anitta plays a pivotal character in the movie. The film will have Tamil actress
