Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘King Of Kotha’ helmed by Abhilash Joshiy has hit the big screens on Thursday (Aug 24). Actress Anikha Surendran, who played one of the supporting roles in the film, has now revealed that she managed to catch the first day first show! Anikha Surendran roped in to play the role of Rithu in ‘King Of Kotha’.

In a heartwarming revelation, she divulged about how she sneaked in to watch the FDFS, the fans show, and opened up about her elation at being a part of the film. Anikha Surendran dropped a photo on Instagram, wherein she revealed that she went ‘incognito’ to watch the 7 am fans show! “went incognito to a 7 am fans show today purely to experience the full on craze this movie has brought on and i had one of the best theatre experiences EVER. i’m so glad to be a small part of this MASSIVE hit,” Anikha Surendran wrote in her Instagram post.

The film, which features the charismatic Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, opened to packed theatres. The film had a grand release in over 2500 screens, across 50+ countries. The film had houseful shows across the home state. Mounted on a massive budget, ‘King Of Kotha’ was released on huge hype, however, the film didn’t impress everyone. The box office numbers, however are promising. As per the reports, ‘King Of Kotha’ collected over Rs. 8.3 crore on the opening day from India. According to the industry trackers, the Dulquer Salmaan starrer minted around Rs. 6.3 crore from its home state. And the worldwide collection stands close to Rs. 17 crore. ‘King Of Kotha’ is expected to get more numbers, especially from Kerala box office during the weekend, and also the Onam holidays are nearing.

Helmed by Abhilash Joshiy, the film had Nimish Ravi as the cinematography director, and Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman in charge of the music department.
