“The movie’s pooja will be held in Ernakulam on January 27. Prithviraj and Mamta Mohandas are confirmed and another young Mollywood star is also part of the film,” says the source.

Meanwhile, another source close to Ravi K Chandran tells us that discussions about the Malayalam remake of the 2018 Bollywood movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer has been on for a while now. “There was a bit of confusion regarding the dates because of the pandemic restrictions. Also, the actors have been busy with other projects too. Even the January 27 date is a bit tentative as so many other matters have to fall in place and that too very soon,” says the source.

Andhadhun, directed by Sreeram Raghavan, is also being remade in Tamil as

Andhagan

, with Prashanth and Simran. A Telugu remake with Nithiin and Tamannaah is also in production.

Prithviraj, who has completed the shoot of Manu Warrier’s Kuruthi recently, also has Rathish Ambat’s Theerppu coming up next month. The latter is scripted by Murali Gopy and also stars Indrajith, Isha Talwar and Saiju Kurup. Mamta, meanwhile, has been shooting for Lal Jose’s Meow, which has Soubin Shahir playing the male protagonist.
