Filmmaker Ranjith Sankar walked down his memory lane after watching the Tovino Thomas starrer 'And The Oskar Goes To.' The filmmaker said that the movie reminds him of his initial days in cinema, when he was trying hard to make his first directorial debut, 'Passenger.' Ranjith's directorial debut was released in 2009, starring actors Sreenivasan, Dileep and Mamta Mohandas.

Helmed by Salim Ahamed, 'And The Oskar Goes To' tells the story of a struggling film-maker who is trying hard to make his debut. Actor Tovino Thomas is playing the lead. Actors Siddique, Sreenivasan, and Lal are playing some pivotal roles in the film. Madhu Ambat is the cinematographer and Resul Pookutty has handled the sound designing of the film. As Salim Ahamed has movies like 'Adaminte Makan Abu' and 'Pathemari' to his credit, the movie buzz is expecting a miraculous one from the director. The movie has hit the theatres a few days ago and is getting positive reviews from the audience and the critics.
