Director
Rajesh Pillai's sudden death has shocked the Malayali audience, as a day after the release of his latest directorial venture Vettah, the filmmaker had to leave the mortal world. Actor
Amol Parashar, who debuted in Malayalam through the film Mili, was equally heartbroken after he came to know about his demise.
Amol soon took to his social networking to pen down his feelings about Rajesh.
He recently posted, 'Your simplicity was reflected best in your films. A small but highly respected body of work. Your characters were rooted in reality and reflected the simplicity of your world-view. Not an iota of pretense in your films, just as in life. We wanted to see more of your films, but you stole that chance away from us. I wanted to be in more of your films, but you stole that chance away from me. '
He added, 'I wish you were not that simple and instinctive. I wish you were just reasonable enough, to at least know what was good for you and what was not. I wish you were less stubborn and listened to other people especially when it came to your health. I wish that once in a while, you stopped yourself from doing what you felt like doing. Although that's something we all wish for, to be able to follow our instincts without thinking twice. But you did it on a daily basis. I guess that's a life fully lived, literally. That's a life so devoted to passion and instinct, that it ends up consuming you. To passion! To instinct! Salute (sic).'
